Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Tessryx LLC ("we", "us"), which operates Bootleg City (the "game"). By playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't play.
Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old to play. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission. You need a Tessryx account to play, and you're responsible for keeping it secure.
It's a game
Bootleg City is a work of fiction set in a stylized 1920s city. It includes cartoon violence, crime and car crashes. Nothing in it endorses real-world crime, violence or drunk driving. Don't try any of it at home.
Playing fair
When you play, you agree not to:
- cheat, hack, modify the game, or use bots or scripts to play or to gain an advantage;
- interfere with the game, its servers or other players' ability to play;
- choose a name, or send a chat message, that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, threatening, or that impersonates someone else;
- share other people's personal information;
- use the game for anything illegal.
Names and chat messages are screened automatically, and a name or message may be refused if it looks like it breaks these rules. Chat is also limited to a few messages a minute to keep spam down. We can also rename, reset or remove any profile, release any name, or block anyone from the game if we believe these terms were broken or to protect other players. We'll try to be fair about it, but the call is ours.
Your name and in-game stuff
Gangster names, cash, kills and everything else in the game are part of the game. They have no real-world value, can't be sold or exchanged, and can be changed or reset, for example to fix bugs or to start a new season. Names are first come, first served, and claiming one doesn't give you any rights in it outside the game.
Our game
The game, its artwork, code, music and name belong to Tessryx LLC. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable right to play it for fun. You may share links, screenshots and videos of your play.
Availability and changes
The game is free and provided as it is. We may change it, add or remove features, reset progress, or shut it down at any time. We may also update these terms; if we do, we'll change the date above, and continuing to play means you accept the new terms.
Disclaimer
The game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the game will be uninterrupted, error-free or that your progress will never be lost.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Tessryx LLC won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or in-game progress, arising from your use of the game. Our total liability for any claim relating to the game is limited to US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
